Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’m passionate about my community and creating a safe, affirming, space where people can take steps toward their goals. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, but more importantly, I’m someone who genuinely loves walking alongside people as they grow. I’ve been in the mental health field since 2013, and what keeps me inspired is seeing people discover their own strength and feel more at home in themselves. I work with teens and adults who are dealing with things like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, or just the stress of big life changes.

I use ACT, emotion-focused, and attachment-based approaches in my work with individuals and couples.
You might be the one who overthinks everything, feels responsible for keeping the peace, or keeps having the same arguments without knowing how to break the cycle. Maybe anxiety is always in the background of your life. Maybe you and your partner feel more like roommates than a team. It’s exhausting to carry so much while not knowing how to talk about what really matters. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who feel stuck in painful relationship patterns.

I utilize various treatment approaches tailored to your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Many young adults face the complexities of self-worth, identity, and the pressures of adulthood. They often struggle with anxiety, feel overwhelmed by relationships, or experience uncertainty in their career paths. Their needs include support in building confidence and developing effective coping strategies. Ultimately, they want to feel empowered to embrace their unique identities and lead fulfilling lives, free from the constraints of self-doubt and societal expectations. By addressing these challenges, they can find clarity and strength to navigate their journey toward personal growth and authenticity.

I specialize in working with emerging adults with ADHD, helping them build structure, self- acceptance, and tools for success.
Most of the people who find their way to me are standing at some kind of crossroads. Maybe they’re sorting through the noise of who they should be versus who they actually are. Maybe they’re carrying old stories that don’t fit anymore. Or maybe life hit a little too fast — school, work, relationships, identity shifts — and they’re trying to make sense of the pieces. I work with emerging adults ages 18-40 because I’ve seen how powerful this season of life can be. It’s messy, meaningful, overwhelming, and full of possibilities all at once. In our sessions, we slow things down. We look at the patterns that keep showing up.

Greetings and thank you for stopping by. I am currently accepting new clients and I am only doing telehealth session. What I value most is a deep knowledge of the self, and how to eradicate past core belief systems that no longer serve us as we evolve into our true nature. If you find yourself struggling to transform your unhealthy habits and patterns, now is the time to change. This is your life, and learning to let go of the old, outdated beliefs takes courage and skills. I would love to foster your growth on your journey forward.

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
