No one is without their struggles in life, and reaching out for help is often one of the strongest and most courageous things a person can do. As humans, we are wired for connection, we need each other to heal and grow. While I may begin as a stranger, I am a stranger who will not judge you, but will meet you with compassion, understanding, and respect.
I strive to help others find meaning and purpose that can foster resilience when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. I believe that our strength lies in our ability to make choices, to grow through challenges, and to not be discouraged by others or by our own inner doubts.

You’re the woman everyone turns to. At work, at home, in your family. On the outside, you’re accomplished, dependable, composed. But inside, the pressure has been building. You’re tired of overthinking, carrying emotional weight alone, and feeling like your inner world doesn’t match the life you’ve built. You want more than coping skills. You want space where you don’t have to perform or hold it all together. You want meaningful, lasting change.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in cycles of overthinking, struggling to calm your mind, or caught in patterns that are hard to break, you are not alone. I work with young adults and women navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, and emotional overwhelm, and relationship patterns that leave them feeling drained, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. Many of the individuals I support are highly anxious, emotionally exhausted, or trying to better understand how past experiences continue to impact their present-day lives and relationships.

Many of us carry protective patterns shaped by trauma, relationships, family systems, culture, and life experiences. These ways of thinking, relating, and moving often began as ways to survive (Ex: keep going, don't feel, ignore needs), but over time they can leave us feeling disconnected, stuck, or far from the person we want to be. Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, neurodivergence, relationships, identity, parenting, or life transitions, I wish to honor the complexity of your story. Through connection and experiential, collaborative therapy, we can create a shift towards your desired goals and self-mastery.

Women's issues have always been a topic of concern for me, especially related to abuse, domestic violence, harassment, unhealthy relationships, low self-esteem, and excess stress.
My approach is flexible and based on the preferences and unique circumstances of each client. I use various methods such as challenging and re-framing negative thoughts, teaching skills for coping and communication, while helping clients learn to accept things that cannot be changed, but empowering and encouraging them to change whatever needs fixing.

I specialize in deconstruction and identity development. We are all born into systems that have shaped who are and who we think we're supposed to be. THE CHOICE...
One of my clients said that she wished that choosing a therapist was like finding a new puppy. You get a sense of the breeding, temperament and capability and then you know from a heartfelt connection that you have the right one. Here you must decide from an exhaustive list of similar sounding credentials. So what I want to offer is some background and then hopefully you can have the experience she wished for everyone.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
