It has been a privilege to work with a wide range of individuals, couples, families, and groups, including children, teens, and adults. When conceptualizing collaboratively with a client, I want to work towards identifying the core, underlying issue. Symptom management is important, but in conjunction with this, we will strive to find the roots of the presenting problem. In this way, we can empower you to be autonomous, empowered, and emboldened.

You’ve been pushing through, telling yourself to handle it, to figure it out on your own. But something still feels off. Your thoughts loop endlessly, replaying conversations, questioning decisions, and leaving you stuck in your head. In your relationships, work, or day-to-day life, there’s a sense of disconnection you can’t quite explain. You’ve tried coping skills, setting boundaries, even opening up more, yet nothing seems to fully click. Part of you wants to be better, clearer, more in control—but you’re not sure what’s missing or how to get there.

My ideal client is the one who has been imprisoned by their own mind and is seeking someone to liberate them. I serve First Responders, Veterans, Parents, and Business Professionals. I will assist with the jailbreak, but I also know a person who does the actual work. His name is Jesus. I often describe faith integration like a “volume setting.” You decide how much or how little you want Scripture, prayer, and the Holy Spirit to be an explicit part of our sessions. Whether you are still on “milk” or ready for “solid food” in your walk, I will respect your pace and your process.

I specialize in helping clients discover links between past trauma wounds and current issues, dysfunctional behavior and addictions. My goal is to help every client discover the greatest version of themselves. I've had a very eclectic path and traversed many different crossroads until I found my true calling. I understand first-hand the challenges of anxiety, depression and trauma. As a philosopher at heart, I've come to realize it's not about having all the right answers but asking the right questions.

I believe that healing often begins in the moments where we feel most seen, most heard, and least alone. My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that every person carries a story that deserves to be met with care, curiosity, and compassion rather than judgment. I strive to create a space that feels genuine, steady, and human. A place where you do not have to have everything figured out to begin, and where you are free to show up exactly as you are. I value authenticity in the therapy room and work to build a relationship where you feel safe enough to explore what has been heavy, confusing, or difficult to put into words.

I believe life is a process. Many things occur during this process. The challenge is our perspective and how we choose to look at life. Sometimes, the lenses we use to view life are clouded, but with the proper adjustments, our vision can be much clearer.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
