Stacey is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with training by Dr. Patrick Carnes, Dr. Stefanie Carnes and Dr. Ken Adams, Dr. Claudia Black and Pia Mellody. Ms. Baughman has worked for the past seven years as the sex addition therapist at The Meadows, a world-renown inpatient treatment facility, assisting clients to discuss their trauma and addiction (process and substance) issues. Typically addicts will use sex as a way to belong, gain acceptance, approval from others, avoid stress, anxiety, and depression. Addiction also serves as a coping mechanism to medicate old wounds, emotions, and distorts reality.

The therapeutic relationship plays an important role in the healing process. I emphasize one's emotional life and history in order to work through uncomfortable experiences and explore what lies underneath the symptoms. My approach is nondirective, curious, and supportive while providing compassion, understanding, and empathy in a non-judgmental and relaxed therapeutic setting online. I have over 15 years experience working in an array of settings, including community mental health, school settings, group homes, residential treatment, outpatient settings, correctional facilities, and private practice. I work with children, adolescents and adults providing individual, group, family and couple’s therapy, as well as psychological assessments. I have experience working with a variety of clientele.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working under the private agency: Becoming Transformed, LLC. I come from a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, where I was able to apply my unique counseling skills in a diverse community of teaching, accounting/finance, analytics, and guidance for students and school leadership. I spend much of my spare time with family, serving in church leadership, reading/writing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
