Do you feel "stuck" in your relationship? Often, people come in, wanting to strengthen their relationship, but feel stuck because their efforts to save the relationship aren't working, and often make things worse. I work with couples to help them get "unstuck" and to help them learn how they got there, and more importantly, how to begin enjoying one another, connecting, and becoming strong supports as they once were for one another. I also work with individuals who feel stuck, personally, in their own lives and in relationships, helping them identify their own patterns and get "unstuck."

I have seen men and women suffer in silence, feeling there is no way to reach out without being looked down upon or misunderstood. It takes courage to be vulnerable, and I provide the environment for both men and women to feel comfortable sharing their struggles and experiences.

Life is filled with challenges. Sometimes we wonder if we have what it takes to navigate through them. I believe that often when we are struggling, we may lack the skills necessary to see us through. My goal is to help you make sense of the challenges in your life through listening with understanding, recognizing your own strengths and providing you with new skills.

Life can be challenging sometimes depending on the difficulties we confront. The impact in our general health can be threatened because of the stressors we got. Dysfunction occurs when someone is unable to find solutions to their problems because he/she is stuck and without options. Solutions must be sought creatively to solve problems. In a therapeutic approach focused on solutions, we construct together meanings with questions leading to different possibilities of resolution. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Phoenix in Puerto Rico with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling.

If you’re struggling with obsessive thoughts, constant worry, or overwhelming anxiety, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ve spent over a decade specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders, helping hundreds break free from the anxious cycles that keep them stuck. I use only gold-standard, evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Exposure Therapy, both specialized forms of CBT proven to be the most effective approaches for OCD and anxiety. These therapies are structured, goal-oriented, and designed to give you a clear path toward recovery. This is different than just talk therapy.

I offer therapy sessions in-person or online via video, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I work with individuals and couples across all stages of life—including young adults, premarital couples, parents, and empty nesters. My work often centers on setting realistic goals, shifting unhelpful thought patterns, and making small, meaningful changes that lead to lasting improvement in mood, relationships, and day-to-day life. I’m passionate about helping people get “unstuck” by rediscovering the strength and resilience already within them.

True, lasting healing happens when we look beneath the surface. If you feel trapped by past hurts, my root-based approach can help. We will move past surface coping to address the core experiences keeping you stuck. As a trauma-informed clinician, I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to change how your brain stores distressing memories. Together, we safely target these root events, take away their painful sting, and rewrite negative beliefs. With a Master’s from Dallas Theological Seminary, I offer holistic care. Whether seeking Christian counseling or specialized trauma therapy, you are welcome here.

I'm open for in person appointments!
Updated Weekly: 7/10 Open For New Clients! I work primarily with adults and adolescents navigating their identity, adverse experiences, life transitions, and complex family dynamics. In our work together, we slow things down, explore what’s beneath these patterns, develop capacity for your emotions, and build practical tools for self understanding. My focus is aimed at helping you develop clarity, confidence, self-efficacy, and resilience—contributing to a more authentic self.

It is difficult to find the courage to seek help for the struggles you are facing. Once you are able to gain that courage we can work together to find strategies and solutions to assist you in reaching your potential in any area that is currently challenging for you.

I strongly believe in the importance of the family. Each individual is important in the family system and brings a different dynamic into it. I enjoy working with individuals and families: both parent/child and sibling relationships. While I am most passionate about working with individuals suffering with trauma/PTSD, anxiety/depression, the family relationship needs support as well, particularly with challenging children. Sometimes an outside perspective can help us see things differently. Challenges in a family are guaranteed, but with some encouragement and support, we can become stronger through those challenges.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
