Suicidal Ideation Therapists in Phoenix, AZ
I am an EMDR Certified Therapist licensed in Arizona and California, who specializes in finding the root causes for one's symptoms. Using an integrative approach of today's best counseling practices and interventions, my goal is to help find and heal the root of one's issues, and not just treat the symptoms. Being trauma-informed means that I am going to pay particular attention to adverse experiences throughout one's life, both big 'T' traumas and cumulative small 't' traumas, and how those experiences have caused someone to construct a faulty narrative about their worth and identity.

From personal experience, I know how scary, overwhelming, lonely, and defeating our internal reality can feel at times. Life does not have to be this way. What if instead we look at life events as experiences to be had and understood? What if we remove labels and learn to sit with ourselves with pure acceptance and compassion? Suffering does not have to be a human experience that we dread or get stuck in. Together we can help you feel how beautiful life truly is.

Whether you’re a parent concerned about your child or an adult ready to focus on your own well-being, beginning therapy can feel daunting and overwhelming. In many families, mental health isn’t talked about openly, and struggles are often kept hidden. It really is an act of courage reaching out. As a bilingual, bicultural therapist, I work with kids, teens, and adults, and I'm particularly interested in serving members of the Latine community. No matter your age or background, I’m here to support you in building healthier behaviors and ways of thinking as well as stronger connections in your life.

Whether you are single or partnered, asexual or allosexual, sweetest vanilla or practiced kinkster, you know that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to intimacy. My clients are people who recognize that sexual wellness contributes to mental health just as much as other forms of wellness. Sexual wellness isn't just in the bedroom, it's how we talk to each other, it's how we show and give affection, it's how we define intimacy and practice being vulnerable, playful, and compassionate. Sometimes it's difficult to do these things and that gets in the way of connection. How do you want to connect with others? With yourself?

Have you ever experienced a difficulty that left you feeling isolated? Or a relationship that just didn’t make sense? These are all parts of being human but can leave us feeling unsettled, disconnected, confused, and hurt. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, hearing their stories, and helping them through the hard times. Above all else, I find it important to create a safe space for my clients to feel secure enough to speak openly and show the more vulnerable parts of themselves. I do this by creating an environment of trust based on direct and authentic communication.
