My clinical experience includes supporting children, teens, and families facing an array of concerns such as PTSD, grief, sexual abuse, and more.
Starting therapy feels daunting, but it doesn’t stay that way. Real healing happens between people. The therapeutic relationship should be one where you feel safe enough to explore your pain. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, I offer a steadfast presence and a collaborative approach. You are the expert on your story, and my role is to walk with you as we make sense of your experiences together. I hope to give you more than a toolbox, but a relationship where you can process in a new way with someone who understands differently than others have.

Sometimes the things we've been doing to feel better just aren't working as well anymore; or maybe not at all. Trauma and stress can consume so much. While we can do a lot on our own, sometimes, we just need something more. I am so glad you are here. Therapy is the process of helping you find genuine relief that will last. This is a deeply personal process of recalibrating your nervous system to support sustainable healing. I provide a warm and caring space where you can safely explore hard things. It is time to find your way back to yourself.

Have you lost your sense of self? Does your past feel like a confusing mess, leaving you wresting with guilt, shame, or questions about spirituality? You care deeply about the people in your life, but you feel utterly burnt out & unsure how long you can keep going like this. You’re tired of failed relationships, people-pleasing, & codependency. You long to stop saying “I’m sorry” & start living a meaningful life, on your own terms. You’re ready to heal, but trusting yourself and others feels scary. How can anyone truly understand the thousand tiny wounds you’ve endured over the years, the kind that don't leave visible scars?

I am particularly drawn to working with couples and individuals navigating barriers to emotional and physical closeness, eating disorders, and healing from sexual abuse, while helping clients build resilience and lasting change.
I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I believe meaningful healing comes through authentic connection and addressing challenges directly. By integrating evidence-based practices, I help clients build insight, process underlying wounds, and create lasting change.

While I am a therapist first, I am a social worker second, and am passionate about addressing the ways trauma impacts not just individuals, but society as a whole. Outside of being a therapist and social worker, I also take care of my rescue kitty, Squish. When she is not hiding my art supplies, I most enjoy creating mixed media art while perfecting my latest playlist. I also most enjoy time spent with close family and friends, engaged in fun, comedic banter.

My hopes that therapy can also be a space where you are fully known, fully valued, and understood. My goal is to support your growth and healing, in order to live an exciting and fulfilling life. I most often work with people who have experienced complex trauma, and struggle with addictive or out-of-control patterns as a result. I work to provide an intersectional feminist lense for therapy and family systems theory to understand the individual in the context of their environment and experiences.

I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or worn down, often when sex or intimacy has become stressful instead of connecting. Many people come in feeling embarrassed, discouraged, or unsure how to even start the conversation. In our work, we take shame out of the room and focus on creating a space that feels open, safe, and honest. You don’t need the right words or a clear plan, you can come exactly as you are, and we’ll figure it out together.

We provide a variety of specialty counseling services including Sexual Abuse Recovery, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, LGBTQ services, Anger Management and EMDR.
Many of our programs require participation in group therapy. We may suggest you pay out of pocket for group services and use your private insurance benefits for individual sessions. This is because our group fees are typically lower than most private insurance copays.

Trauma leaves us feeling constantly fearful or numb. The stress and tension in our bodies persist even when there is "nothing wrong." You may be exhausted from feeling this way but powerless to change because no one seems to understand, and nothing seems to work. Whether you have been to countless medical professionals, or this is your first-time considering therapy, you are ready for some relief. You are ready to let go of anxiety and depression dictating your choices, and wake up with a sense of hope rather than dread. You are ready to like the person you see in the mirror.

I work with adolescents and adults who suffer from trauma or identity issues looking to eliminate suicidal thoughts and reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts and/or hallucinations. I help clients understand their symptoms and learn methods of coping. I also encourage clients to create meaning for their experiences and grow as a result. I assist clients in assigning meaning to hallucinations and/or intrusive thoughts so that they can use appropriate methods to take back control, including use of client's spiritual beliefs and practices as well as CBT and DBT methods.

When children or teens go through something scary, overwhelming, or ongoing, it can take a toll on both their body and mind. Sometimes they don’t know how to express what they’re feeling, and parents are left wondering how to help without making things worse.
The truth is—you don’t have to go through this alone, and healing is possible.

Sexual Abuse Therapists
How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.
Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.
How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.
Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
