Professionally, I have worked with fellow humans struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, gender and sexuality related concerns, borderline personality disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder.
From personal experience, I know how scary, overwhelming, lonely, and defeating our internal reality can feel at times. Life does not have to be this way. What if instead we look at life events as experiences to be had and understood? What if we remove labels and learn to sit with ourselves with pure acceptance and compassion? Suffering does not have to be a human experience that we dread or get stuck in. Together we can help you feel how beautiful life truly is.

I am a certified sex therapist with AASECT and a Level II Trained EMDR therapist.
I always start with where a client is and move through a process of self awareness and discovery that brings about lasting change and newfound joy. While that is not an easy process it is a journey I have found worth taking in my own life and feel honored to take in another's.
I do not believe in a "cookie cutter" approach to recovery or self actualization. Each person I work with brings a special "psychological fingerprint" that encompasses both their past and their present life experiences.
I look forward to traveling the path with you.

Let's be honest, sex education did not prepare us for this reality.
Whether you are single or partnered, asexual or allosexual, sweetest vanilla or practiced kinkster, you know that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to intimacy. My clients are people who recognize that sexual wellness contributes to mental health just as much as other forms of wellness. Sexual wellness isn't just in the bedroom, it's how we talk to each other, it's how we show and give affection, it's how we define intimacy and practice being vulnerable, playful, and compassionate. Sometimes it's difficult to do these things and that gets in the way of connection. How do you want to connect with others? With yourself?

I am an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, trained in providing trauma-informed care, EMDR, CBT, and the Gottman Method.
As a therapist with over a decade of experience in the field, it has been a privilege to witness an individual's ability to grow, heal, and transform themselves. Life can be overwhelming. It can take a toll on us in ways we could not imagine. It is my goal to assist you when there is hardship and to walk with you through the unexpected. In individual and couples therapy, I strive to create a safe space for all—where each person can express themself without fear of judgment, work to create deeper connections in their relationships, and reduce feelings of distress.

My focus lies in communication, relationships, intimacy issues, sexual issues (to include Sex/Love addiction, sexually maladaptive/abusive behaviors, sexual identity, pornography addiction, etc), life stressors/changes and self-empowerment.
Does life fell like an out-of-control rollercoaster? It doesn’t have to be so draining, and relationships don’t have to be so tricky! Sometimes, we just need someone to help us understand our "whys." Guidance to organize our thoughts, challenge limiting beliefs, heal past traumas, and become empowered to live as our most authentic selves. The first step is finding a partner on this journey. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, to include Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing and CBT, a form of talk therapy that helps you see how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected.

I have additional training in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), the Couples Institute, the Institute for Relational Intimacy, and the Arizona Trauma Institute (or, I'm trauma-informed, sex-aware, and relationship-focused!).
Therapy isn’t just about solving problems or fixing what's broken — it’s about becoming more fully yourself. My clients often feel stuck between a sense of what they 'should' be feeling and what they are actually experiencing inside. Maybe you've read the self-help books, know all the Therapy-Toks, have the insight, and still sense something is missing or off. I blend trauma-informed, attachment-based, somatic, and parts work (IFS) inside of relational therapy to help you move from intellectual understanding to embodied healing. This is not about fixing you — it’s about helping you come home to yourself.

Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.
Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.
What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.
What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
