I have experience and thoroughly enjoy working with those in the LGBTQIA+ community, those deconstructing from high-control religion, and those with neurodiversity. I find that these unique sets of identity markers are difficult to understand unless they are lived experience, and I've found these folks tend to feel comfortable in my therapeutic space.

You’re wrong again! Or at least thats what you’ve been told, over&over again, to the point that your brain feels like its floating in acid water, slowing dissolving your ability to perceive any given situation or memory of a conversation accurately. You don’t recall having problems with memory or perception before this relationship. You’re struggling to make sense of things. This is just one of the effects of narcissistic abuse. Its gaslighting, an insidious tool used to erode your ability to perceive reality and its also one of the common tools used by a narcissist to control and manipulate you into a weaker version of yourself.

I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or worn down, often when sex or intimacy has become stressful instead of connecting. Many people come in feeling embarrassed, discouraged, or unsure how to even start the conversation. In our work, we take shame out of the room and focus on creating a space that feels open, safe, and honest. You don’t need the right words or a clear plan, you can come exactly as you are, and we’ll figure it out together.

Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff, awkward, or painfully serious. I work with thoughtful, self-aware adults who are tired of overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling stuck in the same emotional loops. My style is relational, intuitive, and refreshingly honest...direct when needed, warm always, and often sprinkled with humor. I’ll meet you where you are, challenge what’s no longer working, and help you build insight, self-trust, and real change in a space that feels human, grounded, and real.

Excessive pornography use can eat away at the foundation of trust in relationships, leaving your partner feeling deeply hurt and inadequate. How can something so common and seemingly benign be so hard to control? It starts with casual screen use for work that morphs effortlessly into social media, then adult content, cam sites, or OnlyFans. This is especially challenging for ambitious men used to figuring things out alone. I’m not just a professional; I’ve been in your shoes and know the cost to your integrity when this goes unaddressed. If you're tired of this cycle, there is a clear path out.

I’m glad you’re here. Thank you for listening to the parts of you in conflict/pain and seeking out resources for help. Please remember that growth and healing is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you because you are not broken. Instead of fixing, our time together will be an exploration of all parts of you; one of curiosity and compassion, designed to unearth and liberate the wisdom that already exists inside of you. Going to therapy doesn’t mean that you can’t handle life challenges. Rather, it’s a gift that you give yourself to stay mentally and emotionally fit.

Life presents many challenges- both big and small, and it can be difficult to address them on our own. The longer things build up, the more buried we feel, and it gets harder to find our way back to that light at the top. The relationships meant to provide us strength and support may sometimes instead become part of those challenges. Whether that be negative experiences in our early life, or dysfunctional patterns that arise when dealing with life's stressors, it's important to be able to recognize what needs work and strategize a plan to move towards healing.

Raised with values of honesty, hospitality, and humor, I recognize the importance of meeting you precisely where you are. Every person carries stories about their identity, shaped by their families and the world around them. I have personally navigated my own history and intergenerational trauma, reclaiming parts of myself that were lost and shedding the burdens that were never mine to carry. As a therapist, my path toward this profession has been deeply entwined with my own personal longing for meaning and purpose.

“The decision to work with a psychologist may feel daunting. By doing so, you are taking a risk in choosing to share your vulnerabilities with me. I have the utmost respect for this decision and appreciate how challenging it may be. You may feel afraid to disclose some of your deepest insecurities in therapy. You may be thinking, ‘where do I even begin?’ You can rest assured that you are in a safe space with me. My goal is to meet you where you are and to work together collaboratively. After all, two heads are better than one.”

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
