You have come to the right place; I help preteens, teens, and adults who are autistic, ADHD, high-achieving and/or gifted, and anyone overwhelmed by daily life to explore boundaries that honor your capacity, express your inner world, and find practical strategies to build a life that feels intentional & aligned.
Therapy can be validating, challenging, educational, and joyful. My approach is grounded in warmth, authenticity, and creating a nurturing space that can serve as a container to hold difficult emotions. Beyond talk therapy techniques, I believe in the power of creative expression, nature, and play at all ages as transformative tools for self-discovery.

I have experience working with adults on issues related to self-esteem, anxiety, identity, ADHD, ASD, trauma, & healthy boundaries.
( Feb 2026: Have some openings ) Does it feel like you just need to be seen & heard? Like you’ve maxed out all the ways you know how to cope & can’t see a way through where you’re at? Gosh do I get that. Truly. I’ve been so lucky to have personal & professional guidance on navigating the issues that can feel like they’re too much to handle on Life’s wild path. There really is power in turning towards the pain you feel with the love of your own heart. If you’re ready and looking for a therapist who can weave together academic insight, practical support, and lived experience - please feel free to reach out.

Add on the stress of parental expectations, school pressure, and social interactions that make you feel "wrong” or “broken” for being who you are, and you have a recipe for burnout, anxiety, depression, and traumatic stress.
I am a licensed therapist and Certified Autism Specialist who works with children of all ages (yes, even those toddlers) and their families to strengthen self-esteem, practice self-regulation and co-regulation skills, and promote affirming relationships and support. I blend emotional and behavioral interventions to facilitate more sustainable change.

My specialties of focus are individual sessions with teens 13 years or older, college students, and adults with anxiety, depression, bipolar, mood disorder, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, LGBT community, grief/loss, & anger management.
I have been in practice since 1997. I am Licensed Professional Counselor as well as an Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certified Clinician (CBT-C) & Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) to address anxiety and depression. I believe it is the relationship with the patient and therapist which are significant to build trust and in turn facilitate change. It is important to have a treatment plan to set goals to learn healthy coping skills to address negative thought patterns. The recent years have brought such change in how we work, attend school, have relationships, and work through adversity. Therapy is key.

All clients are important and have something to gain from working with someone who can support them in becoming more of the person they want to be. Life seems to get ahead of us at times and having a person to work through issues with, to talk about things with, and to share with can be critical. I believe therapy is a participatory activity, I partner with you through your therapy journey. The first session we discuss what is going on and what your goals are, and at the end of that session we talk about some of the steps we will take to get there.

When our mental health is good, we experience more happiness, a better quality of life, physical well-being, and more engaging and rewarding relationships with those around us. I am concerned with the total health and well-being of the person I am helping and I want to help you improve life stressors, manage past traumas, or cope with other mental health issues which may be affecting your life and relationships. Sometimes the road traveled to a healthier type of living is a more difficult path than expected; I believe each person can reach their desired destination, through their own process in their own time, when they are ready.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
