Life is too short to surrender to anxiety, depression , and bad relationships all the time.
As a parent of a struggling child or teen, you often wonder “what can I do to help them?” or “I don’t know what else to do, maybe we should try counseling.” Or you’re struggling to find help yourself and you’re unsure how to go about it. Well I enjoy working with first time therapy clients and for those who feel underrepresented to help create a more meaningful life. I believe investing in therapy is investing in generational health. I like working with children to young adults who are struggling with depression , anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, conflict resolution, adjusting to life transitions, and interpersonal issues.

I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression , and other mood disorders.
The understanding of our the most authentic aspects of ourselves is at the core of successful psychotherapy. I believe that much of what disrupts us takes place at a level that we cannot access. A secure and non-judgmental relationship between the therapist and the patient in the present moment offers powerful opportunities for such growth to take place. Uncovering how the past has impacted the present is central to successful therapy. Being in private practice, my schedule is flexible and allows me to schedule patients in the morning, evening, and possibly the weekends.

I work with depression / mood disorders, anxiety, as well as various other issues as they pertain to relationships.
Building solid, trusting relationships is among my greatest strengths as a therapist. It is essential for me to help you work on your issues without fear of criticism and a secure sense that you feel accepted. I strive to create a safe, productive place for you to grow, learn and change. I take a comprehensive approach in my work so that we may consider your life experiences, biology and social environment - all of which influence who you are. We will work collaboratively to identify and change repetitive patterns that may be getting in your way.

I have specific training in treating individuals with Complex Trauma, Dissociative Disorders, Addictive Processes, Depression and Anxiety, Life Transitions and Existential Crises.
Do you feel stuck or lost much of the time, but also have an innate ability to recognize that you want and deserve more out of life, out of your relationships, perhaps more out of yourself? Do you want to participate in a deep dive of possible unconscious material that may be holding you back? Being able to open up about these vulnerabilities is challenging and involves deep exploration into the psyche. My intention is to create a safe, accepting container so you are able to explore all parts of yourself, welcome them and integrate them into your life.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
