After many years of my own psychotherapy with several different behavioral health practitioners, I am grateful for their reaching out to me with their intelligence, experience and empathy. The majority of my patients seeking psychotherapy complain and often exhibit signs of depression or anxiety, and often both. They often have difficulty throughout the day and night, having trouble concentrating with fatigue and poor short-term memory, with persistent eating issues, and hypersomnia and or insomnia, worsening their condition. My treatment techniques include psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused.

I always start with where a client is and move through a process of self awareness and discovery that brings about lasting change and newfound joy. While that is not an easy process it is a journey I have found worth taking in my own life and feel honored to take in another's. Marci Morrison, LCSW, ACSW, Diplomate, C-SSWS was a School Social Worker for 35 years and a crisis intervention specialist prior to working in schools. Marci specializes in children, adolescents, young adults and effective parenting skills for parents of children and adolescents. If your child has concerns in school, not only does Marci have an extensive background with child/adolescent behavior but also can help advocate for your child in the school system to help your child reach their highest potential. Marci began Positive Mind Therapy, LLC in 2018 and values a professional, personal touch with each client and their family.

As a Gerontologist, I specialize in issues regarding the aging process. I help older individuals and families adjust to life changes including adapting to retirement communities, assisted living or long-term care facilities, chronic illnesses, Parkinson's, Alzheimer’s/dementia, and terminal illnesses. Working collaboratively, I problem-solve with individuals and families who may be struggling with difficult life transitions. We work on addressing the emotional distress, anxiety and complicated family relationships surrounding helping aging loved ones, and facing challenges encountered in the decision-making process.
