I primarily see (but am not limited to) stress management, anxiety, panic, depression, bipolar disorder, women's coping, self esteem problems, and family of origin. I treat young adults to seniors from all walks of life. My years as Director of Behavioral Science at St Joseph's Hospital Family Practice Residency have given me special experience in treating clients wtih chronic and acute health problems. I do not treat children or teens. I do not treat eating disorders or substance/alcohol abuse disorders. I do not do court or legal work. I do see GLBT clients.
I work with clients to identify and improve what is not working for them in their lives. My theortical base is the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler. I view clients within the context of the social groups to which they belong (couple, family, work, school, friend). I have a holistic orientation.
