To me, therapy is all about helping people build the life they want to live and removing the barriers that are making it hard for them to get there. For a lot of us, past experiences have taught us the wrong lessons in how to engage in relationships and how to handle conflicts. Therapy is a chance to reframe those past experiences and make more informed choices on how to move into the future that we want for ourselves.

Tasks and obligations feel suffocating. The people you love feel far away, even when they’re right in front of you. You move through life on autopilot — barely present with your kids, your partner, or even your own body. Inside, one painful question keeps looping: Why can’t I keep going like I always have? You’re caught in an inner war — one part quietly begging for help and rest, the other terrified to stop. Don’t fail. Don’t fall apart. That battle leaves you exhausted and alone. Old wounds whisper you’re not enough. We see you. You’re not weak. You’ve been strong for so long. You don’t have to carry this alone.

Counseling for Self-Discovery & Greater Well-Being.
Throughout life, we encounter experiences that challenge how we understand ourselves and the world—trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, life transitions, questions of identity and purpose, and experiences that expand our sense of self or reality.
Healing is rarely linear; it often unfolds through cycles of struggle, reflection, growth, and transformation. Beginning counseling can feel vulnerable, yet it can also be a courageous step toward greater understanding, connection, and wholeness.

I work well with individuals (adults and children), couples, and families who are navigating emotional, environmental, and interpersonal challenges. My ideal client is ready to explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns, even if it’s uncomfortable at times. They want to feel more in control of their emotions, improve relationships, and, ultimately, feel more confident in themselves. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes that don't address the underlying issue; it’s about real, lasting change. If you’re looking for a space where you can be yourself, be heard, and actually see progress, then we’ll work well together.

Now accepting new clients!
Hello and welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Many of the individuals I work with carry the weight of past experiences while trying to navigate the stress and uncertainty of daily life. Trauma, anxiety, and depression can leave people feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or constantly on alert. It can feel exhausting to hold everything together while struggling internally.

Many people struggle with shame. Shame is the belief "something is wrong with you". You know that nagging voice that shows up from time to time telling you "You're not good enough". Shame comes from our experiences in life. Each experience especially in our younger years creates beliefs about ourselves which can create struggles including depression, anxiety and low self esteem.

Still Feeling Stuck—Even After Therapy? Let’s Get to the Root.
You’ve done the work—therapy, self-help, insight, maybe even tools that helped for a while—but something deeper still isn’t shifting.
I work with highly sensitive adults who know something more is going on beneath the surface. Many of my clients come in after trying multiple approaches and are ready for a more effective, in-depth way to create real change.
Issues like anxiety, depression, and chronic “stuckness” are often rooted in the subconscious. That’s why I use experiential methods such as EMDR, hypnotherapy, and Gestalt therapy.

Sexual Abuse Therapists
How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.
Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.
How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.
Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
