Porn addiction can slowly wear down trust in a relationship, leaving one partner feeling deeply hurt and inadequate while the other feels stuck in a loop of guilt, secrecy, and broken promises despite all their willpower. With time, this often turns into growing distance or even a sense of betrayal. If this is your reality, you are not alone. What may start as normal screen time or social media can slide into porn sites, cam sites, or OnlyFans and become a pattern that is hard to control, even for men disciplined in every other area of life.

I utilize Somatic Experiencing to support connection and healing in the body.
Whole Hearts Counseling provides compassionate and strength-based therapy to support you in living life wholeheartedly. Many of my clients have been very diligent in their healing process and have explored a wide array of services from yoga to acupuncture and everything between! Though they have experienced some sense of “better”, they do not feel entirely whole or fully settled in their bodies. With compassion and humor (Yes, humor! We are allowed to have fun on this journey of healing), we begin to explore with curiosity what may be blocking the ability for you to shift into greater connection with self and others.

Together, we use deep, body-centered approaches like EMDR, somatic therapy, and expressive tools to process painful memories and break free from old, stuck coping habits.
You are excellent at taking care of everything and everyone else, but managing your inner world has become an exhausting chore. Maybe you are living with the quiet echo of past trauma, carrying heavy grief, or constantly fighting a harsh inner critic that never takes a day off. On the outside, life looks stable, but underneath, you feel disconnected, on edge, and deeply tired of just surviving. You want to feel grounded, secure in your own skin, and free from the weight of old patterns. If you are ready to stop managing your pain and start truly healing, you are in the right place.

You’ve done many of the things you were told would bring fulfillment, yet connection still feels out of reach. Relationships leave you feeling unseen, emotionally alone, or quietly rejected. You replay past dynamics, wondering why closeness never lasts or why you keep holding parts of yourself back. Over time, that distance creates a sense of emptiness and self-doubt, as if you’re performing rather than being known. You long for relationships that feel real, steady, and mutual, but you’re trapped in patterns that aren’t working. It’s time to look beneath the surface to understand why the intimacy you’re seeking feels unsafe.

My work blends evidence-based practices with somatic and insight-oriented approaches, offering grounded, attuned care that honors the whole person—mind, body, history, and nervous system.
Life has been lifing. And if you're honest, it probably has been for a long time. Maybe you've always been the responsible one, the one people rely on, the one who keeps going, figures it out, and carries more than your share. But lately, you're more tired than usual, the anxiety is louder, and the burnout feels heavier. Somewhere along the way, you lost touch with yourself while taking care of everyone and everything else, and you're finally ready for a change. If this resonates, you're in the right place.

We believe therapy is most effective when it honors both the individual and the relationships that shape us. We approach our work from a relational, systems-based lens, grounded in attachment and trauma-informed care. We’re especially attentive to the patterns people develop to stay safe, connected, and loved, and how those patterns can begin to feel limiting over time. Our style is warm, collaborative, and emotionally attuned, while also being honest and purposeful.

I take an integrative approach and commonly utilize therapies such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic therapies due to their effectiveness in addressing the root causes of dysfunction.
If you or a loved one is struggling then I'd be honored to help. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, behavioral addictions, attachment wounds, OCD, sexual and/or identity issues, depression and grief/loss concerns. However, above all else, my biggest focus in the therapeutic process is on building a genuine, healing and supportive human connection with you. If you allow me the opportunity to walk with you in this chapter of your journey then in return you will have someone who is deeply committed to supporting you in and out of the office.

Using trauma-informed, attachment-focused care (EMDR-informed, somatic, IFS, cognitive, and narrative approaches), I help clients regulate their nervous system, shift core beliefs, and build secure, self-compassionate lives.
My clients are thoughtful people who have been carrying more than most realize. On the outside they may appear steady, but internally feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck. Many live with Complex PTSD, attachment wounds, sexual or religious trauma, and struggle with rumination rooted in shame and negative core beliefs. You deserve to feel safe, seen, and truly heard, without judgment. If you’re tired of surviving and ready to understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build secure, connected relationships, you’re not alone. Together, we work to discover new ways living, healing & cultivate greater self-compassion.

I focus on slowing things down, understanding behavioral patterns, noticing somatic experiences, and accepting the choices we have made.
I follow a client-led humanistic acceptance-based model. When we can understand and accept our emotions without applying labels of "good" or "bad", we can use these emotions as tools to meet our needs. I incorporate IFS, DBT, and somatic skills to help identify emotions and Gottman relationship skills to help you with communicating your needs.

I work from a trauma informed lens using EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, parts work, Structural Dissociation Theory, Deep Brain Reorienting, and the Meadows Model.
Do you feel stuck in old patterns such as people pleasing, shutting down, feeling like you are too much, or feeling nothing at all, and you are not sure why? Maybe you have worked hard to move forward, yet something keeps pulling you back into the same pain points, the same dynamics, and the same emotional loops. You might not call it trauma, but something in you knows there is a deeper story. I specialize in trauma rooted in childhood and long term relational experiences that quietly shape how you show up in your life and relationships.

You may feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. Maybe you keep having the same conflicts in relationships, reacting more strongly than you want, or feeling disconnected even when life looks fine on the outside. Many people carry unresolved trauma, shame, or relational wounds that continue to shape how they think, feel, and connect with others. My clients want deeper understanding of themselves, healthier relationships, and the ability to feel calm, grounded, and emotionally free rather than controlled by the past.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
