Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists in Mesa, AZ
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, from 8 to 100+, and have a special passion for helping people navigate anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.
Each of us develops ways of thinking, feeling, and responding based on our unique life experiences. Sometimes those patterns serve us, and sometimes they start to hold us back when we want to grow. Together, we'll process your story, discover how to help you move forward, and build practical skills that support the life you want to create.

Hi, I’m Jill.
People usually reach out when something just isn’t clicking—things feel harder than they should, or they keep ending up in the same patterns and aren’t sure why.
I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or pulled in too many directions. For some, that connects to ADHD, trauma, or difficulty managing emotions and relationships.
In our work, we focus on making sense of those patterns—how you think, respond, and relate—so things start to feel more manageab

I find that my favorite parts of therapy are unconventional. I love when a client tells me they didn't want to come to session but they show up anyway, and leave feeling like it was one of their best. I love when a client brings up decreasing to biweekly sessions, after recognizing they've gained genuine support outside of the therapy space and feel confident in managing between sessions. I love when a client comes in and talks about "random things" they've done and I get to see their passion. (Bonus points when I get to point out how that "random thing" actually demonstrates them getting closer to the life they want to live!).

I feel stuck. I feel broken. I don’t even know what I feel. If this sounds like you, you aren't alone. My mission is to provide a non-judgmental space where you can explore and process your current and past struggles. Research shows that when we recall traumatic events, the part of our brain responsible for speech can shut down. I draw from trauma-informed approaches to help you express and heal, even when words fail. Let's work together to reclaim your well-being.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
