It can be difficult navigating through the internal conflicts that happen throughout life. An important part of development is to find alignment with your sense of self, and who you want to be. Things from our past can get in the way of feeling aligned with our best selves, and we don't always have the tools to navigate, or even explore these past emotions or events. I believe emotions exist on a spectrum, and once you grasp the ability to understand where you are, and why you are there, you will be able to feel a sense of control.

I believe that aspects unique to each family system (i.e., attachment, multigenerational processes, cultural/spiritual beliefs) are some of the key indicators of an individual’s personal life experience and the development of their identity. All of these things contribute to the way that we interact and connect with others, which makes relationships complex, and sometimes difficult to navigate. My areas of focus include perinatal mental health related issues, attachment injury repair, and navigating phase of life transitions.

I am currently a masters level counseling intern after providing a variety of mental health support for the last 8 years. Having experienced grief personally, I am passionate about helping others to find healing and integrate grief into their own lives. Helping clients achieve meaning and fulfillment in their lives is one of my main goals as a counselor. Hello, I am a counseling intern from Arizona State University, pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. I know that it takes courage to seek counseling and I appreciate how hard it can be to take the first step. I am committed to supporting clients in a therapeutic alliance as they explore their thoughts and feelings, and work toward their goals. As an advocate of holistic and individualized care, I integrate a holistic person-centered approach complemented by principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

I earned both my masters and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University - Phoenix. I completed my clinical internship at The University of Colorado Boulder's Counseling and Psychological Services Center where I created an integrated mental health and medical program for LGBTQ+ students and Trans Care Specialty Team. I have experience working with community agencies and supports addressing a wide variety of mental health issues, including mood disorders, adolescent/young adult issues, substance use, eating disorders, and Sexual/Gender Identity concerns.
