I work best with adult individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, or like they’re constantly holding everything together. Many are navigating anxiety, trauma, identity stress, burnout, or relationship strain, and often feel misunderstood in spaces that are supposed to feel safe. I mostly work with clients who are BIPOC, neurodivergent, and/or LGBTQ+, carrying personal, cultural, or generational weight that feels hard to name or unpack alone. Therapy with me often starts like untangling a tight ball of yarn. It can feel messy at first, but with patience and support, things begin to loosen and make more sense.

Hi! — I’m so glad you’re here. Sometimes things just start to feel like a lot. The same arguments keep happening. You’re holding everything together but secretly exhausted. You know what you want to say, but it doesn’t always come out that way. It can feel confusing, frustrating, or just… heavy. Therapy with me is pretty straightforward. We talk. We get curious. We notice patterns. I’ll share what I’m seeing, ask questions that help you connect dots, and we’ll figure out tools that actually make sense for your real life — not just in theory.

I also enjoy supporting neurodivergent clients, ADHD, ASD, parents, substance use concerns, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Can’t stop thinking about food or your body? Maybe you’ve spent years dieting, hoping that one day you’d finally feel comfortable in your own skin but, that day never comes. Instead, food and body worries follow you everywhere, making social events, restaurants, or even getting dressed feel stressful. Over time, life starts to shrink. Therapy can help you break out of this exhausting cycle, quiet the mental noise around food and weight, and build a more peaceful relationship with your body, so you can get back to living your life, not managing it!

My specialties of focus are individual sessions with teens 13 years or older, college students, and adults with anxiety, depression, bipolar, mood disorder, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, LGBT community, grief/loss, & anger management.
I have been in practice since 1997. I am Licensed Professional Counselor as well as an Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certified Clinician (CBT-C) & Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) to address anxiety and depression. I believe it is the relationship with the patient and therapist which are significant to build trust and in turn facilitate change. It is important to have a treatment plan to set goals to learn healthy coping skills to address negative thought patterns. The recent years have brought such change in how we work, attend school, have relationships, and work through adversity. Therapy is key.

I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges.
Not everything we feel can be explained with words. Sometimes emotions show up through behavior, worry, big feelings, shut-down responses, or patterns that seem difficult to understand. This can be true for both children and adults. I help children, teens, and adults build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, regulate their nervous system, and feel more grounded, connected, and confident in their daily lives. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where clients can feel safe enough to explore challenges, build on strengths, and experience meaningful growth.

I specialize in helping teens 16+ and adults navigate Borderline Personality Disorder or traits, trauma, ADHD, and Autism.
Are you exhausted from managing your emotions all day? Planning around triggers. Replaying conversations. Feeling overstimulated, reactive, or completely shut down. You may hold it together in some areas and unravel in others. Maybe you understand your patterns logically, but in the moment a part of you takes over and responds before you can think. You want to respond differently in the moment so your relationships and life feel more secure rather than chaotic.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
