Trauma can disrupt our lives in ways we never anticipated. I work with individuals and families navigating the impact of trauma—whether from childhood neglect, sexual abuse, or other forms of psychological harm. These experiences often leave us feeling stuck, and symptoms may surface unexpectedly: through a familiar song, a scent, or an emotion that lacks a clear memory or visual trigger.

My approach integrates relational, attachment-based, trauma-informed, cognitive, somatic, and values-based perspectives.
The argument may be about the dishes, the phone, sex, money, parenting, or whose turn it was—but the wound beneath it is about whether you still feel chosen, heard, and safe with each other. Beneath the argument are deeper questions: Do I matter to you? Am I safe with you? Will you hear me, choose me, and stay present when this gets hard? One of you reaches harder while the other pulls away. The louder one becomes, the more distant the other feels. Eventually, the argument ends—but the loneliness does not. You still love each other. You are simply losing each other inside a pattern neither of you knows how to stop.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just plain exhausted from trying to hold everything together?
Maybe life feels heavier lately — the stress, the sadness, the disconnection. You might be longing for peace, clarity, or to feel more like yourself again.
If that’s you, I want you to know: you’re in the right place, and healing is possible. I’ve walked alongside many people who came to therapy feeling broken or unsure where to begin — and I’ve seen them rediscover hope, rebuild connection, and experience real transformation. It would be an honor to walk with you through your own journey of healing.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
