In an effort to bridge the gaps which exist within the current mental health treatment and evaluation process, my psychiatrist partner and I have developed a comprehensive model which utilizes an interdisciplinary approach that combines the specialized work of psychology and psychiatry all in one agency. Prior to the development of our agency, my partner and I individually provided evaluation and treatment services in a variety of diverse settings throughout Maricopa County and abroad for over 10 years. Our interdisciplinary approach yields a useful product which benefits our colleagues and members of our community.

Aura psychological services was founded with the intention to provide the highest quality mental health treatment to individuals, families, and couples. We are a group practice comprised of skilled and diverse psychologists with extensive and complex educational and training backgrounds and highly qualified to evaluate your concerns and provide effective treatment. We provide therapy and psychological evaluation and testing services, including ADHD testing, to individuals, couples, and family. We work with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults. We also accept most major insurances, including Medicare and some AHCCCS plans.

I am a licensed psychotherpist in AZ and nationally certified. I am trained in various techniques that help with the resolution of trauma, abuse, neglect, addiction, and personality corrections. In addition, I can provide testing for behavioral, emotional, personality, and psychological concerns. As the clinical director, I coordinate and oversee our groups and IOP (intensive outpatient) programs. My team includes Spanish speaking services and the ability to work with those who have other concerns such as anxiey, bipolar, depression, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation as part of individual, group, IOP counseling.

McGady and Associates Psychological Services (MAAPS) provides a variety of clinical, forensic, consultation, supervision, and training services to the greater phoenix area. Clinical services include individual, couples', and family psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults to address a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, parenting issues, anger issues, trauma and more. Psychological evaluations are another service provided by MAAPS to assist with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. The types of evaluations offered include comprehensive, autism diagnostic and psychosexual evaluations.

If you want to live a more fulfilling life and attempt to live medication free, I can help you discover and work through past issues preventing you from doing so. Rather than masking and not resolving issues with medication, I believe behavioral change can occur through exercise, healthy eating, relaxation techniques and the use of cognitive behavioral strategies. Because so many people lack a positive support network, I encourage spiritual connection and support systems within the local community. Although I practice from a Christian perspective I do not impose my beliefs on clients.

Counseling provides a safe non-judgment environment with guidance to explore the root cause to the presenting problem. A goal would be working towards a greater well-being. With that come self-awareness, self-compassion, self-kindness, self-care, and most importantly self-love.

My clients may be high achieving individuals suffering from various forms of angst between family stressors, career pressures, health changes, life transitions, and having difficulty facing patterns that no longer serve them or their relationship with the world. My clients may be dealing with depression, anxiety, and a lack of clarity. They may be having difficulty finding the answers that are already within themselves. My goal is to expose them to these codes and present the various strengths their mind finds.

Jackie Hansberger obtained her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University in 2016. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Capella University in 2021. She is currently a Temporary Licensed Psychologist under the supervision of Dr. Davis.
