Living with chronic pain, relationship distress, trauma, OCD, or an anxiety disorder can change everything: how you move through your day, how you relate to yourself and those closest to you. If you're navigating internal or external stressors, are working through past trauma, or trying to reconnect to your partner, I'd love to help you find a safe way back. Something not every therapist can offer is my lived experience of multiple chronic pain conditions. I know what it's like when treatment focuses only on coping with symptoms while the emotional and relational toll get's missed.

With training in EFT and EMDR, as well as ERP, ACT, and CBT, I'm committed to walking alongside you on this journey.
Overthinking, overanalyzing, ruminating, future-tripping, or analysis paralysis—whatever you call it, it can really keep you stuck. If you've been lying awake at night thinking through all the things you said today (or last year), if you've made 8 different to-do lists for the same task, or if you're always running late because it's difficult to organize your thoughts, let's chat. Anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and burnout can significantly impact the way your brain handles the stress of day-to-day life. But there is hope – you don’t have to stay stuck. I'd love to talk to you about how you can begin to feel like yourself again.

I recognize that exploring identity, self-worth, sexuality, and body image can feel deeply personal and, at times, overwhelming. It takes courage to face the experiences that shape how you see yourself and move through the world. If you’re struggling with feelings of inadequacy, questioning aspects of your identity, or navigating body image concerns, you don’t have to do it alone. You’re ready to engage in meaningful work and create lasting change, and you’re looking for a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, safety, and genuine investment in your growth.

I offer in-person and Telehealth therapy for adults navigating trauma, complex trauma and CPTSD, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and the complicated places where life doesn’t feel simple or black and white. I also work with first responders, humanitarian aid workers, and individuals who have lived through long-term, high-intensity experiences. I’m drawn to the deep, slow, ongoing work: the kind of trauma that builds over years and shapes how people move through the world. This is the space where long stories, chronic pain, and quiet resilience finally have room to breathe.

My approach to therapy is based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). A core idea in ACT is that trying too hard to get rid of or control our emotions tends to backfire. Instead of trying to get rid of unwanted thoughts and feelings (e.g., anxiety & depression), I will help you learn to react differently to them so that you can keep your focus on living a meaningful and fulfilling life based on what’s important to you. We will work together to set meaningful goals to address your concerns–whether they relate to life transitions, depression, anxiety, body image, grief/loss, job or academic stress, or gender & sexuality.

I have 20 years of experience helping people achieve better overall mental health. I have worked extensively with clients who are experiencing anxiety, emotional exhaustion, depression, and the effects of difficult or traumatic life experiences. Some will even say they have appeared to look “fine” to everyone around them. Over time, the strain can begin to really affect the quality of relationships and work, and begin to erode confidence & overall health. Capable people can privately struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, relationship stress, and unhelpful patterns despite their best efforts to keep moving forward.

Many of the families I work with feel stuck. Their child struggles with focus, big emotions, anxiety, or feeding challenges, and progress feels slow despite strong effort and support. I work with kids and teens who are thoughtful, sensitive, and motivated to do well, but whose brains and bodies make everyday demands harder than they appear. ADHD, anxiety, and medical or feeding challenges can complicate routines, relationships, and confidence. I take a whole-child, evidence-based approach that integrates psychology, behavior science, and health.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
