Relationship is everything. We all have many relationships, and often, those relationships go into conflict. Conflict in any relationship leads to emotional distress. Whether that conflict is with a spouse or lover, ourselves, friends or family, our community, or even the broader world, all of our relationships and the conflict they can contain influence our mood, thoughts, decisions, behaviors, and communications. External relational conflict occurs between spouses, friends, family, colleagues, and others. Internal relational conflict occurs between us and things like food, our bodies, and sense of self-worth.

I help clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, feeling behind or uncertain about life direction, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity, purpose, motivation, burnout, and men's issues.
Maybe words like “healing,” “growth,” and “self-care” do not really speak to you. You just know that you are stressed, distracted, irritable, unmotivated, or stuck in a situation that is not getting better on its own. Many of the people I work with want a straightforward conversation about what is happening and what might actually help. Some are navigating transitions - finishing school, starting careers, figuring out relationships, or trying to understand what direction their life is taking. Others come in feeling overwhelmed by pressure, struggling with motivation, or wondering why things that once felt clear now feel uncertain.

My ideal client is a person who’s done everything “right” on the outside but quietly feels disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of who he is anymore. They are not looking to be fixed they're looking to feel real. They want clarity without shame, strength without performance, and space to name what’s true without being judged. They're ready to face what’s underneath the patterns, not to collapse—but to come home to themselves.

I’m a man who’s lived a full life- successful careers, big mistakes, painful breaks, and hard-won rebuilds. Those experiences taught me how to help others do the same. I became a therapist because I genuinely care about helping people become their best, most authentic selves.
What sets me apart is the real connection I bring to every session. I listen deeply, then give you practical, actionable tools you can actually use, not just theories. Whether you’re working through personal struggles or relationship challenges, my approach is straightforward, grounded in both DBT and present-moment awareness.

After spending years working in community mental health and with large agencies, I realized there were limitations that prevented me from providing the quality service that individuals deserved. My goal is to provide treatment designed specifically for the person, not a one-size-fits-all model. By focusing on the individual, without the distractions and politics of a large agency, treatment can be dedicated to quality, integrity, progress, and results. I want people to take an active role in their treatment, feeling empowered in their progress. This is your treatment and you have a choice in who you entrust with your healing.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware men who feel stuck — in anxiety, relationships, pornography struggles, motivation, or patterns they can’t seem to break. Some have tried therapy before and left feeling rushed, judged, or emotionally pushed before trust was built. Clients describe me as steady, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I listen closely, notice patterns you might not see, and suggest practical tools when they matter most. I also work extensively with couples navigating pursue-withdraw cycles, communication breakdowns, betrayal wounds, and emotional disconnection.

That nagging feeling that you’re missing the mark. It’s so common for Christians. It may be something concrete - some sin or addiction, or an anger problem, or a lack of trust. Or it might be more vague - like a feeling that there’s something else you should be doing, something you’re really missing. You feel like you’re letting God down, letting your family down, not being a good enough Christian. This is a heavy burden, and it takes a toll on how you see yourself. You might say, "I've got to figure this out!" Or "I just need to pray more." You might get angry at yourself, or angry at God: "Why have you abandoned me?"

Life has many stressors and challenges—but we don't have to be defined or overwhelmed by them. Many of us encounter trauma, anxiety, depression, strained relationships, or struggles with addiction. Yet, healing is possible, and a fulfilling life remains within reach. My mission is to offer compassionate support as you process difficult experiences and move toward your full potential. I have particular experience with couples caught in conflict who want to reconnect, and Catholic and Christian men navigating compulsive pornography use, drawing on my theology background to address this with sensitivity to faith and values.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.
How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.
What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
