Accepting new clients! Hi there! Are you a
woman
with ADHD (or ADHD-like symptoms)? If so, then it's likely that you have experienced a lifetime full of challenges. While an ADHD diagnosis can be difficult for anyone,
women
often present with unique symptoms and needs that have long been ignored by the Mental Health Profession.
Women
with ADHD don't just struggle with the neurological difficulties that come with the disorder, but often struggle emotionally because of negative messages, unrealistic expectations, ignored symptoms/ misdiagnoses, and chronic shaming.

Hi:) Counseling is a way to bring ourselves back to self, in a deeper and real way. Learning about self and improving the awareness of self love, caring and exploring the most comfortable way to live our life. We spent too much time and energy to worry about things or holding too much fear of being judged, while we forgot that life was actually about my feeling not others expectation. It is not things make us stuck, it is our perspective. Yes, life is about perspective, counseling is just a journey that we work together to find the best fitful ways to make us worthy, cherished and loved by practicing or rebuilding.

There they are again. The feelings of fear, worry, stress, powerlessness and shame. These feelings keep you stuck and make you feel miserable. I’d like to offer my services to you. Relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and attachment issues are all reasons why men and
women
seek my services. Additionally, I have treated teenagers and children in the foster care system using expressive therapies. However, my specialty, is in “I’m at the end of my rope;” “The same sh** keeps happening to me;” “Part of me just doesn’t feel right.” I've been helping people step out of that story for over fifteen years.

I particularly enjoy working with
women
who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or a general sense of dissatisfaction in their lives, especially as they experience peri-menopause and menopause.
If you are someone who is experiencing inertia, confusion, emotional exhaustion, burnout, frustration, or anything similar to these in any area of your life, exploring the root causes of these symptoms and more profoundly understanding your own natural rhythms and "recipe" for health, combined with the latest data and research, will help you gain much needed insight as well as a formula, of sorts, that will guide you toward better understanding about how to turn things around. My therapeutic approach is integrative, holistic & multifaceted. I believe that our emotions, health, relationships, and circumstances are all interconnected.

I worked in a church-based counseling center for 13 years and spent three summers counseling
women
in the mission field at the Breathe Conference in Switzerland.
My passion is to provide a safe environment for my clients to find true courage and healing through storytelling. Storytelling in the counseling office helps clients engage with difficult questions, heal from the wounds identified in the answers, and formulate a plan to move forward in their journey. My goal is to help others learn to tell their stories wholeheartedly and to come alongside them as they discover where they have come from and courageously forge new paths. At times those paths include exploring how faith impacts our journey. I would be honored to join you where ever you are.

Motherhood is no joke! It can be lonely, scary, and overwhelming. One day leads to another and you’re exhausted, frustrated, and on edge. Scary thoughts never let up and leave you feeling like a bad mom. Everything is hard and no one seems to understand. People say annoying things like, "Enjoy every moment!" You wish you could enjoy life, but it's just not that easy! The loneliness, anger, resentment, and guilt make everything harder and you're in survival mode. You might feel like you've lost your sense of self and wonder if you will ever feel like "you" again. The answer is YES! You're not alone. I understand, and I can help.

Empowerment of
women
, pregnancy/miscarriage & other
women
concerns.
I have been in practice since 1997. I am Licensed Professional Counselor as well as an Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certified Clinician (CBT-C) & Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) to address anxiety and depression. I believe it is the relationship with the patient and therapist which are significant to build trust and in turn facilitate change. It is important to have a treatment plan to set goals to learn healthy coping skills to address negative thought patterns. The recent years have brought such change in how we work, attend school, have relationships, and work through adversity. Therapy is key.

I help
women
overcome anxiety, shame, and perfectionism to break cycles that leave them feeling stuck and unfulfilled. My clients often struggle with unrealistic expectations that lead to frustration, burn-out, and indecision. They never quite feel “good enough” and are exhausted trying to do it all. If this sounds familiar, you aren’t alone. Many of my clients find themselves stuck in patterns of self-judgement and disconnection that impact their confidence and self-esteem. I enjoy helping clients build new patterns and insights that restore balance and connection to their lives.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
