In therapy we learn to address problems we've been avoiding because they cause us pain or discomfort. For many, avoiding problems has become a problem in itself. You may experience issues with personal productivity, mood, traumatic memories, substance use, or social anxiety. These concerns can be distressing, but they are all manageable with the right skills. A great therapist, Carl Rogers, said “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” Therapy can help you learn skills to get this process of self-acceptance and positive change started.

We are not your average therapists! If you're looking for someone to nod their head in agreement with everything you say or for someone to just listen until "time is up," then this is not the place for you. We are an active part of your treatment. We focus on helping people find stability, life satisfaction and self-love. To do this effectively, means we offer insights and feedback, encourage you to dig deeper and challenge you. We're able to do this with care and compassion because we develop a strong therapeutic alliance built on mutual respect and trust. This is the foundation of what we do.

Using Somatic Experiencing, attachment-based therapy, and parts work, we’ll help your nervous system learn safety, not just talk about it.
You keep it all together for everyone else, but inside you feel anxious, disconnected, or on edge. I help adults heal the lasting impact of childhood trauma and emotional neglect so they can feel safe, connected, and confident in relationships. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that keep you stuck, regulate your nervous system, and create real emotional freedom. These patterns aren’t your fault. They began as protection — shaped by early experiences of feeling unseen, unsafe, or not enough. Now, those same patterns block the closeness and peace you want most.

Will Trauma Keep Affecting Your Relationships? You love your partner and your kids. But your childhood trauma hijacks you. You feel small. Unheard. Like a scared child. Afraid of anger. You shut down. Or get anxious about saying the wrong thing. With your mom’s inner voice. “Get it right.” “You’re too sensitive.” So you freeze. With fear of passing trauma on. The more you please everyone, the less it helps. Your partner feels hurt. You feel stuck in emotional flashbacks. You want to break free from your PTSD and childhood trauma. You want inner child healing. To stop the trauma cycle.

My approach blends creative expression, somatic awareness, and practical tools to support neurodivergent clients with emotional regulation, executive functioning, and identity development.
Your brain is busy, creative, and sometimes feels like it is running five tabs at once. You may be navigating ADHD, anxiety, or both, while also managing real life things like co parenting, divorce, school pressure, work stress, or major life transitions. Focus can be inconsistent, emotions may show up loudly or unexpectedly, and routines feel great in theory but hard to sustain. You want therapy that understands both your diagnosis and the context of your life, helping things feel lighter, more manageable, and more you.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
