I provide a safe, supportive environment that helps clients connect to and feel their feelings. Sadness, anger, fear, and joy are all okay. The roots of how and what we feel lie in what we experience very early in life, pre and perinatally. I work with clients experientially so that they can get back in touch with their heart/essence/goodness. I work with clients who have lost touch with those things. I work with clients who may have trouble grieving or expressing anger in healthy ways. Clients' answers are inside themselves. When they feel safe enough, they can begin to reconnect to themselves and find their answers.

I’m a man who’s lived a full life- successful careers, big mistakes, painful breaks, and hard-won rebuilds. Those experiences taught me how to help others do the same. I became a therapist because I genuinely care about helping people become their best, most authentic selves. What sets me apart is the real connection I bring to every session. I listen deeply, then give you practical, actionable tools you can actually use, not just theories. Whether you’re working through personal struggles or relationship challenges, my approach is straightforward, grounded in both DBT and present-moment awareness.

You may feel stuck in patterns that are affecting your relationships, confidence, or ability to cope with daily life. Anxiety, addiction, trauma, depression, or even major life transitions can leave you feeling disconnected and exhausted. Even so, part of you is ready for something different. I work with adults who are open to exploring the thoughts, behaviors, and experiences that may be holding them back so they can build healthier patterns, stronger relationships, and a greater sense of balance and purpose.

When I work with couples usually the big five issues of sex, money, kids, time and extended family come up in some form. Whether it’s communication or getting through conflicts or infidelity we can start with where you’re at and work towards building a better relationship where you haven’t only solved the problems you’ve come in with but leave with a better relationship. If you’re a man (or looking for a husband, partner or relative) I help with struggles such as depression, stress (family and work related), cheating, relationship issues, anger, and emotional intimacy, and others. I’m like you and know what men deal with.

My passion is to help men understand what they want from life and to address what is getting in the way. Issues that get in the way include addictions of all kinds, depression, anxiety, and anger. Perhaps a partner is unhappy and suggests change needs to happen and soon, or else. Asking for help is often the most difficult decision for men to make. The pain and fear we feel tells us something is wrong. But if we ask for help what does it say about us? Shouldn't we be able to handle this on our own? The most courageous thing you can do is to reach out to and ask for help. I am offering that help. No Judgement.

With expertise in sex therapy, couples therapy, men's issues, emerging adulthood, LGBTQ and gender-affirming care, I help clients confront patterns, deepen connection, and live with greater integrity and pleasure.
With nearly 10 years of clinical experience, I’ve honed my skills to help you find a path toward an authentic you. I believe that therapy is about challenging the stories we tell ourselves—the ones that keep us stuck, small, or disconnected. Real change comes from doing the hard work: questioning old patterns, building an understanding of our beliefs and where they come from, and stepping bravely into discomfort. I want to get in the trenches with you to help you face what’s hard and build a version of yourself more aligned with your values. I strive to ensure my services are LGBTQ+ affirming, kink-aware, and poly-affirming.

So, normally, you have it all together, right?. You go to work, pay your bills, take care of your family, spend time with your friends. But now you can't sleep, can't eat, can't focus. Work is a mess, home is a mess, you're a mess. That stuff from your past is haunting you again. The voice in your head is tearing you down all the time. You're lonely, tired, angry, sad, scared - you're simply not okay. But when you try to talk to your friends or family about it, it gets awkward and one or both of you shuts down. You don't know what else to do.

The people I usually work with are individuals and couples who are facing important life or relationship challenges and have tried the typical strategies for improvement or making changes. I work best with those who want to take an honest and thorough look at his / her / their functioning and set in motion pragmatic steps toward sustaining a genuinely better life. While conflict and various forms of emotionality are a normal part of life, when these experiences negatively affect one's capacity to have a successful, enjoyable or fulfilling life, it is important to consider other avenues of support.

Life often presents us with situations that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and unsure about how to move through them. Whether it's a loss of a loved one, transitions that cause us to rethink who we are and what we want, or events in which we've been harmed or mistreated - sometimes we all just need a space to explore our thoughts and feelings so that we can gain the confidence to move forward.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
