My hopes that therapy can also be a space where you are fully known, fully valued, and understood. My goal is to support your growth and healing, in order to live an exciting and fulfilling life. I most often work with people who have experienced complex trauma, and struggle with addictive or out-of-control patterns as a result. I work to provide an intersectional feminist lense for therapy and family systems theory to understand the individual in the context of their environment and experiences.

Generally, I use CBT-e to help stabilize ED behaviors, then add in IFS for parts work, ACT for those who prefer acceptance over disputation, and then ERP for OCD and CPT and somatic work for trauma.
Finding a therapist can be a daunting and overwhelming process. Then add the other mental challenges, barriers to treatment, and stigma, and it makes sense why it is hard to ask for help. Mental health concerns affect people from every culture and intersectional identity. Throughout my fourteen years of experience, I've discovered how each client is unique and when treated with their cultural/identity needs as a roadmap in the treatment plan, they can recover and thrive more quickly.

Are you exhausted from managing your emotions all day? Planning around triggers. Replaying conversations. Feeling overstimulated, reactive, or completely shut down. You may hold it together in some areas and unravel in others. Maybe you understand your patterns logically, but in the moment a part of you takes over and responds before you can think. You want to respond differently in the moment so your relationships and life feel more secure rather than chaotic.

Many of my clients have tried traditional approaches and are looking for a new way forward—one that focuses less on fighting symptoms and more on creating meaning and closeness. I help people change how they relate to painful thoughts, emotions, and memories. With couples, I guide partners in building trust, compassion, and lasting bonds.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.
Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.
How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.
What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
