As a mother of 5 children with a Master's degree in Child & Adolescent Developmental Psychology and a Ph.D. in Metaphysics & Transpersonal Counseling, my approach is very holistic. My eclectic approach utilizes the hands-on experience of having had a child with autism (who is now 23 and autistic free!). Behavior is a language - what is it "saying?" is my approach. With this approach, we can help the child and family to heal and deal with the issues differently. My intention is to provide a safe space for healing to begin.

Using trauma-informed expressive arts, EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, and somatic approaches, I offer a supportive space where you can slow down and explore what’s beneath the stress and move toward real change.
Sessions are collaborative and guided by what feels most relevant for you. Many clients come in aware of what’s bothering them but still feeling stuck. We work to shift those patterns so they stop impacting daily life. I bring steadiness and clarity to the work so change actually sticks.

I have extensive experience working with diverse populations, addressing a wide range of struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, attachment issues, and everyday life challenges. Too many therapists simply sit and listen to their clients talk without providing meaningful feedback, insight, or direction. My approach is client centered and is designed to help people gain healthier perspective and clearer direction towards their goals. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is identifying a person's strengths and encouraging them to step confidently into their potential.

Life has been lifing. And if you're honest, it probably has been for a long time. Maybe you've always been the responsible one, the one people rely on, the one who keeps going, figures it out, and carries more than your share. But lately, you're more tired than usual, the anxiety is louder, and the burnout feels heavier. Somewhere along the way, you lost touch with yourself while taking care of everyone and everything else, and you're finally ready for a change. If this resonates, you're in the right place.

I follow a client-led humanistic acceptance-based model. Have you tried traditional talk therapy before but are now looking for something that goes deeper? Maybe life has forced you to slow down due to the loss of a loved one or another significant change. Perhaps you’ve just come to realize that despite all this go-go-go, you actually feel like you’re still lacking direction, purpose, and deep connection with yourself and those close to you. You don’t want to have to “rehash” the past or revisit every detail of what you’ve experienced, but you know that life can feel different than it does today. You believe long-term change is possible…you just need some help getting there.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
