I work best with high-functioning adults and couples who appear capable and successful yet feel internally driven by anxiety, self-doubt, or unresolved trauma. Many feel chronically “on,” overwhelmed, or disconnected despite doing everything right. I value working with clients across diverse identities and lived experiences and strive to offer therapy grounded in respect, dignity, and psychological safety. They seek clarity, emotional steadiness, and meaningful change so their inner experience can align with the life they have built.

Healing is not about forgetting the past or becoming a different person. It is about understanding your story, finding new ways to respond to life's challenges, and creating a future that feels more aligned with who you want to be. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some clients come with clear goals, while others are seeking clarity about what's wrong. Together, we create a safe space to understand patterns, process difficult experiences, build on strengths, and develop practical tools for meaningful change.

I work with adolescents and adults who suffer from trauma or identity issues looking to eliminate suicidal thoughts and reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts and/or hallucinations. I help clients understand their symptoms and learn methods of coping. I also encourage clients to create meaning for their experiences and grow as a result. I assist clients in assigning meaning to hallucinations and/or intrusive thoughts so that they can use appropriate methods to take back control, including use of client's spiritual beliefs and practices as well as CBT and DBT methods.

Licensed in AZ, TX, IL & IN. Life is full of obstacles, whether they started early on in our life or later. Regardless, these life events can impact us in ways that we don’t always understand. We can get caught up in patterns of thoughts and behavior we desperately want to change but feel powerless to. It can be challenging to navigate through life and relationship-most often the ones that mean the most to us. Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when past experiences have made it difficult to feel safe or trust others. I work to help clients feel comfortable, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

My clinical experience includes supporting children, teens, and families facing an array of concerns such as PTSD, grief, sexual abuse, and more.
Starting therapy feels daunting, but it doesn’t stay that way. Real healing happens between people. The therapeutic relationship should be one where you feel safe enough to explore your pain. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, I offer a steadfast presence and a collaborative approach. You are the expert on your story, and my role is to walk with you as we make sense of your experiences together. I hope to give you more than a toolbox, but a relationship where you can process in a new way with someone who understands differently than others have.

When children or teens go through something scary, overwhelming, or ongoing, it can take a toll on both their body and mind. Sometimes they don’t know how to express what they’re feeling, and parents are left wondering how to help without making things worse. The truth is—you don’t have to go through this alone, and healing is possible.

Have you lost your sense of self? Does your past feel like a confusing mess, leaving you wresting with guilt, shame, or questions about spirituality? You care deeply about the people in your life, but you feel utterly burnt out & unsure how long you can keep going like this. You’re tired of failed relationships, people-pleasing, & codependency. You long to stop saying “I’m sorry” & start living a meaningful life, on your own terms. You’re ready to heal, but trusting yourself and others feels scary. How can anyone truly understand the thousand tiny wounds you’ve endured over the years, the kind that don't leave visible scars?

Sexual Abuse Therapists
How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.

Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.

How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.

Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
