HI, I love being human with people. Therapy with me is like having a friend who is a therapist, as my style is warm, relaxed and firm. I want to ensure I am giving you exactly what you need, so I work with you to get YOUR treatment goals down and then conquer those concerns. I use a variety of different theories and approaches as each client is individual and different techniques are necessary to provide individualized care. I love teaching skills and worksheets so you will rarely leave empty-handed without something you can work on outside of the office.
Trauma is my specialty and I use EMDR and IFS to treat this, keeping EMDR hand buzzers available. A lot of people do not realize trauma doesnt have to be a big scary event, it can be childhood teasing within the family or implied pressures from others. I have experience in working with trauma, addictions, troubled teens, sex workers & the homeless community.
