Avital Yael Deskalo, PhD, Psychologist in Washington
Aggression, anger, depression, traumatic stress, anxiety, school refusal, ADHD, sleep, and toileting - when these issues go unaddressed life can feel unpleasant. I work with males and females of all ages, up to age 22. I incorporate evidence-based trauma therapy approaches into my treatment for traumatic stress referral concerns. I collaborate with caregivers, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and school personnel to promote a continuity of care and assist my clients in meeting their potential.
I graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a doctoral degree in School Psychology. I completed my predoctoral and postdoctoral residencies at the Boys Town Center for Behavioral health in Omaha, Nebraska.
My training in clinical and school psychology has prepared me to work with families to improve functioning at home, school, and in the community. Therefore, treatment may include parent training, individual, family, and group therapy, behavioral assessment, and psychological evaluation.
