Sex is a foundational part of the human experience, and for many, it's also a complicated one. Our connection to both gender and sexuality are shaped by many influences that can teach us negative narratives about certain bodies, identities, and relationship structures. I use EMDR, body-based, psychodynamic, and experiential approaches to sex therapy. I specialize in working with pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, chronic pain/disability that inhibits sexual intimacy, sexual shame, and trans-affirming care. I work in private practice and teach a Sexuality Across the Lifecycle course at University of Chicago.
As a trans therapist, I specialize in working with my community of queer and trans folks, and performing artists. I'm also a theatre artist and the last ten years of my research has focused on actors’ mental health. Through my research, I created and now facilitate a program which teaches actors skills for exiting emotion and character.
