Hello! My name is Avery.
I counsel individuals ages 5+ experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, abuse, self-esteem struggles, PTSD, gender identity/sexuality issues, and relationship issues. I am available in-person or virtually. Prior to coming to private practice, I worked as a children's therapist in community mental health and as a technician on an inpatient psychiatric unit, where I taught therapeutic groups and developed my skills in de-escalation and crisis intervention. I incorporate inclusivity, empathy, education, and empowerment into my work and live by the motto, "Come as you are."
