Ava Floyd
Pre-Licensed Professional, MA
**I am currently accepting new clients.** In the moments when we feel overwhelmed and hopeless, we are often prevented from being the best person we are capable of becoming. My clients want to reduce their depression or anxiety, improve relationships with family or peers, process racial/sexual/physical trauma, find more authentic ways to express their identity, or just talk about how hard it is living their lives. I work with teens and adults who are struggling with areas of adversity and who wish to build greater resilience in their lives.
I provide person-centered, evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness strategies. I offer my clients compassion and empathy, creating a space to express themselves authentically and fully, and build a path to healing.
If it seems like I could be a match for your needs, I am happy to connect via email or phone and see if I can be of help to you or your teenager. *I have a projected graduation date May 2021 with a Doctorate of Psychology and expected licensure 2021.*
