I think of therapy as a safe space to truly be heard, a place to catch your breath, and gain support in processing and sorting through difficult emotions and situations. As a clinician, I value authenticity and humor in my connections with clients. I believe a strong positive alliance between myself and my clients is what fosters trust and hope, allows us to explore vulnerable emotions and difficulties, and ultimately work towards our therapeutic goals.
I believe therapy is flexible and should be a collaborative process between my clients and myself, so it will look different for every individual. What may work at one point in someone’s journey may shift depending on changing circumstances and redefined goals. However, my general therapeutic style is best described as Client-Centered and Interpersonal.
I have worked with individuals, groups, and families in a variety of settings. My passion is working with young adults, but I enjoy and have experience working with individuals of all ages. My interests include but are not limited to difficulties with trauma, eating disorders, mood disorders, identity development, LGBTQ, and relationships.
