Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. On the outside, they appear capable and accomplished. On the inside, they are carrying trauma, grief, identity stress, and the invisible weight of being “the strong one.”
I specialize in working with Black women and other high-functioning helpers who are navigating trauma, life transitions, cultural stress, and complex family dynamics. Many are professionals, caretakers, or first-generation achievers who look successful on the outside but feel unseen, pressured, or stretched thin inside.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy rooted in relational and strengths-based approaches. I don’t need an orientation on microaggressions, code-switching, or cultural expectations before we begin the work.
