My goal as a therapist is to provide a mixture of optimism, honesty, humor, and direct practicality. I have a genuine interest in each person seeking treatment and think of the therapeutic relationship as a unique collaborative partnership. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression or who encounter difficulties within relationships overcome the daily intrusion of negative thoughts and behaviors by providing solution-focused treatment and support. My interests are trauma, mood disorders, LGBTQ identity and supports, relationships, and parenting.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic drawing from cognitive, dialectical, and motivational methodologies with influences of mindfulness. If you struggle with anxiety or depression, are feeling stuck, are going through life transitions, or are grappling with the lack of support with your gender identity, I can help and offer compassion and strength.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Skidmore College.
