I'm glad your curiosity about finding a therapist has led you here. My experience in mental health work includes Gestalt, CBT, psycho-dynamic, humanistic, client-centered, mindfulness based and self-acceptance training. Please call with specific questions. I've been doing psychotherapy for 30 years and, in addition to seeing my private clients, I have supervised MFT and MSW interns in clinic settings.
We will talk about self-care including exercise, mindfulness, sleeping, eating and finding joy in life. Many go beyond these basics. We will focus on creating a life that is supportive of good emotional, physical and mental health.
I work with clients who want help adjusting to changes and challenges we all face in life. About 60% of my clients are working with the challenges of serious mental illness. Others enter therapy for help with family problems, job stress, loss and grief, self-acceptance, processing past trauma, adjusting to physical limitation and physical pain.
