My name is Austin and I am a dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
I am primarily a couples counselor as I enjoy working with couples, talking about relationships in general, and exploring how our family of origin (FOO) impacts us. I have additional experience working with individuals for depression and anxiety related concerns. I also have advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.
I try to be as authentic as possible. What you see is what you get, and I do that intentionally in session through what is called a “use-of-self model.” I try to be warm and empathic in session, while also being firm in what am observing and what I think may help. I am not afraid of big emotions or high conflict, and I welcome them into the therapy process.
