My current practice is focused on psychological evaluations only. Not doing therapy at this time. My education and experience is rooted in Attachment Theory with focus on displaced children and their caregivers. I have been actively involved in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral disorders (i.e. ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder) and mental health disorders (i.e. anxiety, depression, trauma related disorders, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder). I have focused on direct clinical services including psychological evaluations, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, supervision, and consultation.
I created "Raising Displaced Children" as a therapeutic/educational support for parents and caregivers of displaced children. I value a wraparound approach to services and the importance of a family team. I promote understanding healthy child development, the importance of environmental stability, and the critical need for supports and resources for caregivers.
I served on the Children's Services Committee for the State of Utah and DCFS's Quality Assurance Committee for over 10 years. I have been privileged to participate in The Children's Center's Bridging the GAP Symposium: Clinical Application of Developmental Theory and Research from it's inception in 1999.
