As a counselor, I believe in having self-compassion as we all try and navigate the human condition. Life throws challenges at us that, at times, feel overwhelming and seem insurmountable. Be it unhealthy relationship dynamics, absence of intimacy and loving connection, loneliness and isolation, or loss of motivation, I believe that each individual has the capacity to overcome difficult circumstances and improve their relationships with commitment from themselves and their partner.
With my Individual clients I work in the framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you navigate life based on your own values. With couples I utilize techniques from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to build connection, and navigate conflict.
Getting into counseling during the week can be difficult for couples when both partners work, and so I have opened up some availability on Saturdays that is exclusive to couples. Scheduling for an initial weekend appointment must be done during weekday business hours.
