About
Thank you for visiting my profile. People seek therapy for many reasons: you may wish to make a significant change in your life, you may want to develop more effective coping skills, or you may carry longstanding pain that is in need of healing. Whatever brought you here today, I am hopeful that I can support you along your intended path. In nearly a decade as a therapist, I have worked in a diverse range of settings, including psychiatric hospitals, college counseling centers, community clinics, and Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Centers. Wherever I practice, my style is infused with warmth, humor, compassion, and authenticity.
In addition to extensive experience treating anxiety and depression, I have specialized training in evidence-based interventions for trauma- and stressor-related disorders, emotion dysregulation, and intimate relationship distress. I treat clients who identify across a broad diversity spectrum and I approach my work through multicultural and feminist lenses.
As a licensed psychologist, I am an expert on the change process—but you are the expert on your own experience. Effective psychotherapy begins with collaborating on a flexible treatment plan that meets you where you are and maps out where you want to go. I would welcome the opportunity to help you identify, explore, and achieve your unique set of goals.
