Welcome! I offer appointments from 11am to 9pm. Whether you have a specific problem or want to feel generally better, therapy may bring relief and happiness. My approach is fundamentally collaborative. My goal is to enter your world and help you make sense of it. I'll work with you to make therapy engaging and soothing by creating a playful and sensitive environment. Though therapy can be challenging, it's also energizing and affirming. We'll incorporate your strengths into treatment. My clients say they look forward to sessions because they feel more understood, hopeful, balanced, self-aware, and empowered.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, multicultural issues, LGB themes, outpatient eating disorders, relationship/intimacy issues and religious/philosophical themes. I also have expertise in working with adolescents, university students, and young adults and particularly enjoy therapy focusing on identity formation and emotional regulation.
For my doctorate at Baylor University, I researched adult playfulness. For my bachelors, I studied history and philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. My primary clinical orientation is psychodynamic, but I integrate interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, humanistic, multicultural, and mindfulness approaches. I enjoy encouraging clients' creativity and self-expression.
