I really love my job. Whether it's individual therapy for a kiddo or adult or collaborative parent consultation, I will meet you where you need me. I will create a safe, empathetic environment for you to explore what makes sense for you. I’ll ask questions or reflect thoughts you may not have considered… and I’ll use a touch of humor to help it feel easier. One of my strengths is leveraging my gently direct approach within CBT and other evidence based short term interventions (such as SPACE or ERP) leading to effective, shorter term therapeutic treatment.
There’s many reasons long term therapy may not be feasible for people: logistical, financial or otherwise. I really do love the opportunity to collaborate on a longer term basis. I also love being able to provide families an effective intervention that meets the complicated needs of a busy life.
Whether it’s a few sessions, a few months, or a few years, I’d be honored to be in your corner as long as you need me (and when it feels like the right time to you, also helping you to feel confident that you don’t need me… because that’s the point, right?).
