Communication feels borderline impossible: you say something, they get triggered, you get triggered, and the cycle continues. And it’s even harder to continue putting in effort to change when you don’t feel valued or heard in your relationship, especially when it feels like you’re carrying more of the load than your partner. You’re scared of what might happen if you’re not able to change this, but everything you’ve tried up until now hasn’t worked.
Couples come to me looking for someone who can help them sift through the bullshit to get to the heart of their unhealthy patterns quickly. Because I believe neither of you is the problem—the cycle is the problem. Therapy is about working together to break the cycle: helping you repair and reconnect while also honoring your own individual identities.
