My name is Audra Perez and much of my experience as a LCSW has been spent working with people living with a variety of life changing medical conditions, grief/loss, combat veterans and caregivers. Often, our time is spent developing coping techniques to help deal with the mental/emotional impact of their diagnosis, loss, trauma, etc. In general, improving quality of life and relationships, reducing depression/anxiety/stress levels, boundary setting, increasing self-awareness/confidence are common areas of focus.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy which focuses on altering and getting to the root of unwanted & unproductive emotions/behaviors/thoughts so we can work on setting goals to initiate positive changes. I am also a firm believer in leaning into your strengths and building on them to develop coping techniques that work for you.
