Psychological trauma can solidify negative thought patterns that cause a person to feel stuck and lead to low self-esteem, depression and suicidality, anxiety, anger, and interpersonal relationships issues. As a licensed therapist, I work to assist clients in challenging these negative thought patterns in order to promote autonomy for clients to begin to take control of their mental health and live a more fulfilling life.
I utilize various treatment modalities including EMDR therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based approaches in therapy. I have worked with a variety of populations including correctional settings, crisis intervention, first responders, mental health, and substance abuse disorders.
Making the decision to begin counseling can be difficult. I provide a safe environment for individuals to feel comfortable to explore their emotions and meet their desired goals. I strive to help clients feel heard and accepted while encouraging and guiding individuals on their path to change and growth.
