Counseling is a collaboration, and I enjoy working with my clients to help them identify their goals and make positive changes. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as a framework to assist in increasing psychological flexibility, making it easier to roll with life's punches. I am experienced in working with substance abuse and other addictions, anxiety, depression, and the various co-occurring disorders that come with those challenges. By incorporating other therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Behavior therapy, I make sure the counseling interventions will fit each client.
I've had experience offering family services, ABA therapy, and facilitating groups for substance abuse and trauma. I then finished my master's in counseling degree and narrowed my focus to individual counseling. My previous experience enriches my views on individual issues and methods to help with changing your thinking patterns, behaviors, and life.
