How are grief and loss defined? If we broaden the boundaries, the definition can include not only death, but also adjustment to divorce, job loss, abuse, addiction, and estrangement . Individuals can be left feeling anchorless and disconnected. Unprocessed grief and trauma has the potential to lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, and vulnerability. I offer a collaborative approach that is attuned to the client’s presenting needs. In this focused work, I facilitate continuing bonds with a loved one or assist in the adjustment to a loss or transition.
