I work primarily with couples and individuals experiencing relationship distress, mood disturbances and adjustment problems. Some of the outcomes that my clients typically seek are improved means of managing conflict, increase in positive emotional experiences , and ways to interact and relate more meaningfully. I focus on helping my clients gain deeper insights, identify and utilize their strengths and acknowledge and understand their emotional experiences.
I attend to my clients' needs by giving primacy to their unique contexts and working collaboratively. In addition to my training in psychology and clinical mental health counseling, I hold specialized training as a marriage/couple and family therapist and work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
I create a warm space for my clients to share and grow. I strive to validate and normalize my clients' lived experiences. I aim to form trusting relationships with my clients as therapeutic success depends largely on the client-therapist alliance. I look forward to hearing from you.
