My purpose is to foster safety and connect individuals with themselves and others as they start this healing journey. My approach is a trauma focused using many different skills like EMDR, equine-assisted therapy, and Deep Brain Reorienting to manage the complexity of trauma. I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Equine-Assisted Mental Health, EMDRIA approved Consultant in Training, EMDR Certified, and DBR Trained. I have received advanced training in Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), and complex trauma training specializing in Structural Dissociation Theory.
People sometimes seek another setting and experiential experience using Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), where horses create a space for individuals to explore a different perspective. Want the best of both worlds? I am excited to announce that as an EMDR therapist, I can use equine sessions with EMDR using the EquiLateral approach.
